Our History
Charlotte’s Vision was founded in memory of Charlotte Sweeney, a young woman whose courage, grace, and determination in the face of metastatic breast cancer continue to inspire all who knew her. During her own journey, Charlotte saw firsthand the urgent need for more research, more targeted treatments, and more hope for people living with advanced breast cancer.
Rather than accept the status quo, Charlotte imagined something better – a future where metastatic breast cancer is not a life-limiting diagnosis. That vision became the foundation for our charity.
Since launching, Charlotte’s Vision has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI) to fund critical, patient-focused research projects, including the support of dedicated PhD researchers like Apurva Jagateri, who are working to transform treatment outcomes.
Charlotte’s legacy lives on through every breakthrough, every donation, and every step we take towards a future her vision helped shape.
