Charlotte’s Vision donates €25,000 to National Breast Cancer Research Institute.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over recent months, enabling us to donate another €25,000 to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute, taking our total since we founded in October 2022 to €125,000. We were delighted to welcome Professor Róisín Dwyer, Panna Miko and Apurva Mahantesh Jagateri to our recent fashion show to accept the cheque on behalf of NBCRI. In the photo are L to R – Professor Róisín Dwyer, Catriona Coen, Panna Miko, Virgie Sweeney, Shelly Skelton and Apurva Mahantesh Jagateri.

Apurva is a PhD researcher funded by Charlotte’s Vision. She is a member of Prof Róisín Dwyer’s research team at University of Galway, based in the Lambe Institute for Translational Research. Apurva’s research focuses specifically on the challenge of  metastatic breast cancer to help find new, more effective treatments to benefit patients.

We are grateful to Prof Róisín Dwyer for speaking at the event, explaining to way in which the money you donate is being used and the work being done to provide better outcomes for patients diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.
